Coronado Brewing Company Hosts Poker’s “QUEEN OF HEARTS” in Upcoming Christmas Parade

CORONADO – Brandi Williams, the new weekend anchor at KUSI TV-51, will ride in this year’s 37th Annual Coronado Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade. She will be a guest of the Coronado Brewing Company, and ride in their iconic Model T beer truck.

 A newcomer to San Diego news but a veteran of national TV, Brandi Williams hosted several coast-to-coast programs before coming to San Diego. Among them were Mark Burnett’s realty TV show, “Toughest Cowboy;” “World’s Biggest Birthday Party,” with Donny Osmond; and Fox TV’s popular New Year’s Eve Party, with Ryan Seacrest.

Brandi Williams will be a guest of the Coronado Brewing Company Dec. 7 for the Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade. She will ride in the CBC antique beer truck, this 1924 Model T named “Olive Oyl.”

Brandi also covered the Hollywood Red Carpet for three years as Entertainment Editor forTV Guide, and has had her own show on the Travel Channel. Her image has appeared in numerous magazines and Internet publications, including Maxim.

The young reporter and show host gained international fame as host of The Ultimate Poker Challenge and The Vegas Minute, and continues to be recognized as, the “Queen of Hearts” and the “Poker Princess” by her poker fans wherever she goes.

Currently Brandi works the KUSI morning slot Wednesdays through Fridays as a news/feature reporter, and as the weekend anchor. A devote animal lover, she also hosts “Pet Tip of the Week” and the Hollywood celebrity update, “Brandi-tainment.”

“I’ve only been here a short time but already Coronado has become my home away from home,” said Brandi. Just last week Brandi and her visiting mother spent two whole days touring the Hotel del Coronado and experiencing Coronado’s many restaurants. “I’m very excited to be representing KUSI in the Coronado Christmas Parade.”

She doesn’t smoke, drink or curse (well, doesn’t curse much) and has eliminated
caffeine from her diet. Once known as poker’s “Queen of Hearts,” Brandi Williams
is a professional news reporter first and foremost.

The 37th Annual Coronado Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade & Holiday Open House takes place Friday, December 7. The parade begins at 6 p.m. near the Coronado Public Library and goes down Orange Avenue to the Hotel del Coronado (R.H. Dana Place) before turning around and heading back the other way.

At the end of the parade the Mayor and Santa Claus arrive on the Fire Department’s hook ‘n’ ladder truck for the traditional tree lighting. Once the Mayor lights the tree at Rotary Park, Orange Avenue is taken over by revelers enjoying the first night of Coronado’s holiday shopping season. All along Orange Avenue shops and restaurants will offer food, drinks, and pictures with Santa.
