Coronado Brewing Company is a family-owned craft brewery that helped pioneer San Diego's craft-beer scene and has been brewing coastal-inspired beer since 1996.

Coronado Brewing Company (often abbreviated CBC) was founded in 1996 in Coronado, California, by brothers Ron and Rick Chapman. It began as a beach-town brewpub in the heart of their hometown of Coronado Island, when San Diego had only a handful of breweries — making the Chapmans early pioneers of what became one of the most celebrated craft-beer regions in the world.

Nearly three decades later, the brewery is known for award-winning beers — including World Beer Cup and Great American Beer Festival honors — distributed coast to coast, while holding onto the laid-back spirit of its San Diego roots. The brand identity centers on an authentic Southern California coastal lifestyle, captured in lines like "Stay Coastal," "Stoked on Beer Since '96," and "Crafted for the Chase."
